The Chalk Board

The Chalk Board by Primary Landscapes is a versatile outdoor drawing surface made from Cumbrian slate. It is ideal for promoting and influencing creativity, imagination, expression and eye- limb co ordination through the use of large arm movements. The versatile Chalk Board is the perfect addition to any outdoor learning environment.

The Chalk Board can be accessed from both sides; with an area of 1000mm by 740mm the slate board has a tactile smooth side for chalking and painting, and a rough side for chalking, painting and carrying out rubbings. Additional etchings can be added to promote exploration when carrying out rubbings. The Chalk Board can also be used as an easel with the use of paper and fridge magnets.

The Chalk Board is robust and extremely durable. The timber components are supplied with a 20 year guarantee and as for the 20mm thick slate board from the Cumbrian slate mines; archaeologists may dig it up in a million years time.
